Norway Landscape Photos: Perspectives of Drobak and the Oslo Fjord, Norway

The following photos were taken in and around Drobak, Norway.

Of course, the Oslo Fjord is an obvious focus for landscape photographers visiting Drobak, Norway.  However, again, don’t be fooled.  There any many other interesting landmarks and places to visit.

The church in Drobak, like the majority of houses in the area, is wooden and dates back to 1776:

The church contrasts with some of the more modern houses around the town many of which are indeed very modern:

A typical Norwegian style house with large balconies

but many capture a somewhat fairytale look about them:

while others clearly capture some of the history of the place:

The Finsrud Art Gallery in Drobak features an excellent collection of bronze sculptures such as these and is well worth a look around:

but I am straying now into what should really be a web page about Portrait Photography or Sculpture !

If you enjoyed these photos, you may also like my video of the Christmas Shop (Julehuset) in Drobak – Norway’s biggest permanent Christmas exhibition, where you can stamp your letters or cards with their official Christmas stamp mark.  As the video shows, it has a very festive atmosphere and has many Norwegian trolls (nisser) on display.  It’s a ‘must see’ place if you’re visiting Drobak, Norway.

The above video was taken with a Flip Mino HD video camera and edited with iMovie on my Apple iMAC desktop computer.
